Football Tournament Success!

NATO Affiliated Afghans (NNA) who are being resettled as
part of NATO mission Op Allied Solace took part in a football tournament
within Bechtel Village, Kosovo on October 31st.

Task Force Noble has received more than 30 complete football strips from
Wolverhampton Wonderers FC and these strips were gifted to the NAA’s taking
part in the tournament.

Both teams greatly appreciated the kits and couldn’t wait to get them on and
to get out playing football. The tournament consisted of 4 teams, 2 x NAA
teams (Afghanistan and Kabul AFG) and 2 Military teams (TF Noble and CIMIC).

All NAA’s that participated in the tournament really appreciated the kits
that were provided, wearing them with pride and expressed great thanks to
the Wolves management and club as a whole for the very generous donation.

The eventual winners of the tournament were team Afghanistan (Wolves Home
strip), stating that they really enjoy watching Premier League football
when they get the chance. They said they will continue to wear the shirts
with pride and will keep themselves updated on Wolves progress in the

Sporting events like this provide a much needed distraction from the
difficulties some of the families have been exposed too over recent months.
The event and gifting of football strips went down really well with the
entire Bechtel community.
