Matched funding and donations

MATCHED   FUNDING – LLOYDS BANK

AC Christopher Worsfold, Dorset, who is a manager with Lloyds Bank, has secured matched funding of £448 from the bank relative to the hours he spends volunteering with SOS. This is a tremendous boost for parcel funds with a proportionate sum reserved for the Assistance Dog Appeal. Well done Chris for accessing this funding.

AC Penny Keen, Littlehampton received a very generous donation of £3000 from the Broadwater Carnival Committee.   This was an amazing and very welcome surprise which will greatly assist with parcels and boost the Assistance Dog Appeal. Penny is also in the process of researching matched funding via Santander Bank and we hope this will be successful.

LORD BARRINGTON PUB, CHOPPINGTON

Elaine & Glenn’s ‘local’ customers and staff consistently raise funds for the parcels and have again donated £402 which was a welcome contribution for the Christmas Appeal.

KELLY’S NUTTY KNITTERS

These are just a couple of examples of their bespoke work and if you would like to place an order for your particular favourite regiment/unit, then please contact agnes@supportoursoldiers.org.uk in the first instance.

These are just some of the contributions in support of our service personnel and our thanks as ever to all who have been a part of that, not least all our Coordinators who work tirelessly, for no remuneration, to ensure that we continue to deliver our ‘little bit of home’ wherever it is required.

We always welcome offers of support and ideas for fundraising so please get in touch: trustees@supportoursoldiers.org.uk
