Scottish smiles head across the miles

After a week of madness off work driving all over the country then a week of madness after work every day (am shattered) our 301 allocation for the Christmas parcel appeal left my house yesterday morning. We had a great response as ever and I would like to thank the following:

My daughter and partner in crime Stephanie Dempsey for coming over and helping check sell by dates and pack boxes, not only when I was here but on one occasion when I was freaking our at work lol, My mother Irene Archibald for knitting over 200 Christmas stockings and wee Christmas puddings for my boxes and also helping me and Stephanie with the above and for my friend and fellow stall holder Jan Storie for giving up her weekend packing and wrapping, I couldn’t have done everything without the three of them. Also Mrs Baxter from Dorset who posted up a large box of handmade cards to include in our boxes for our lads and lassies to send home.

I would also like to thank the following for donating boxes and box fillers: Stirling Protestant Boys Flute Band, Blantyre Livingstone Memorial, Old St Andrews, Hamilton Hillhouse & Trinity Parish Churches – The Phoenix Parish Grouping, Jackie Steven, Karen Bald, Lesley Smith, Avonbridge Primary School, Bield Housing Kirkintilloch, Bield Housing Bathgate, Carillion PLC Blantyre, F Platoon RHF Army Cadets – Glasgow Highlanders, St Josephs Primary School High Bonnybridge, St Andrews Primary School Falkirk, Muirhouse Primary School and Nursery Motherwell, Killermont OSC Bearsden and all the other individuals who handed boxes into my drop off points and branches of Co operative Funeralcare.

And now to breathe, just shut the door on my ‘soldiers room’ I can sort the chaos another day.

Thank you everyone for your support and I will be in touch in the new year for the Easter appeal.

Lynn
