On Saturday 18 July, on a dull and windy day,  the hardy members and friends of Wallsend Golf Club held an Open Day and thanks to  member Derek Latimer, for nominating SoS to be the beneficiary of fundraising proceeds of £1200 .

With merchandise sales and donations the total was boosted to £1413.72.
